Sicilian artist Francesca Genna is a professor of Engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, “Il Bisó” school, Florence, she researched non-toxic engraving in collaboration with the Universities of Barcelona and Valencia. In 2009 she published the first sustainable engraving treatise Incisione Sostenibile. The engravings presented here combine embossing and vacuum techniques, with attention to the search for objects found at random and less toxic procedures, such as photogravure with photopolymer film.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
