Julia Theek (Potsdam, Deutschland, 1966)
Julia Theek was born in Potsdam in 1966 and trained from an early age in classical art techniques by her grandfather, the painter Paul August. She studied aesthetics at the Humboldt University in Berlin and has been exhibiting since 1988, starting with assemblages, airbrushing nspired by street art and upcycling art since 2000. In 2012 she founded the summer academy “Lübzer Kunstspeicher” (The Art Attic of the city of Lütz), which has now specialized in upcycling. Julia Theek has exhibited in Italy, Poland, and Spain, but mainly in Berlin and her hometown Potsdam, her works can be found in well-known private and public collections.
