Jorge Traverso (Montevideo, 1950 / Formentera)
He studies History of the art, Painting and engraving techniques in Uru- guay. In 1970 moves to spain and travels to several european countries and north africa. He lived and worked in Barcelona for many years, un- til he established his residence in Formentera in 2009.
He develops the Beach Art Project of artistic creation with eminently plastic materials that he finds on his walks along the beaches of For- mentera. the project was born as a denunciation of all the materials that are thrown into the sea and pollute our planet.
